💎 Silk Jewels – Small treasures from the heart of the cocoon

Our Silk Jewels are real treasures – small, fingernail-sized caps that are cut off during the opening of the silk cocoons in production.
What would be waste for others is for us a true treasure of textile art.

Each of these caps is picked up by hand from the floor of the production facility – with patience, care and a trained eye for the special.
But that’s not all:
After washing, the fine pieces become hopelessly entangled in the loosened silk threads… and then wait to be plucked out individually by us.

Like North Sea garnet – but not edible. And much more fibrous. 😄

What can you do with it?
✨ Textile collages, mixed media projects, original applications, delicate individual shapes for sewing in or sewing on –
each “Jewel” is a small accent full of structure and natural beauty.
For the very brave: they can be worn as very special fingernails on special occasions 😄

And the best part:
They are only available from us.
A material with a core, history – and a touch of textile wit.
