Recommended needles when using one thread:
Embroidery needle 1, Tapestry/Chenille needle 22

  • highly twisted filament silk
  • Filament strands are continuous strands and are not elastic
  • do not lie flat on the Working Fabric
  • a worked stitch must be held in place until the next stitch is made so that the tension is not lost again
  • The easiest way to do this is with a laying aid
  • occasionally make a mini backstitch that anchors the working thread in the Working Fabric.
  • 3-strand
  • conditionally strandable
  • the individual threads correspond to Soie Ovale
  • are not very tear-resistant
  • are very wavy
  • moistening and ironing straightens the strands
  • Very high sheen
  • remains intact even after washing/ironing
